Ho, Hum!

I don't really know what to blog about today, I feel at a loss for words.  I woke up in just a funk. Maybe it had something to do with the bad night of sleep I got last night. Sweet baby Thomas was just not happy and wanted to nurse like every hour! Blah, that is just how I feel.

I think that I just need to find a way to "turn my frown upside down, after all no one ever got a head by sitting on their behind"(thats a quote from a great movie, well not conventionally great but I love it all the same). Maybe I should start my day by looking at the positives. Here are some things I am thankful for. In no particular order.

1)My morning coffee. It makes even the worse night sleeps seem bearable.
2)My sweet baby boys. Sure they drive me nuts some days, and all I can think most of the time is "I am not a jungle gym". But I cannot imagine life without them, they are the best thing I have ever done.
3)My hubby. I know I fall short everyday of the wife he deserves but he seems to love me all the same. And I think he is smoken' hot.
4)This ties in with #3 but my hubby is a great father. He is the perfect combo of playmate and authority figure. They know that the moment that he steps in the door "fun" has arrived, but they also know that when he means business it is firm and final. (I swear I can yell at them, really just the 2 year old, my 7 month old isn't being disobedient yet :), all day but when Dad says no that is all it take's)
5)The amazing group of women that God has put in my life. I learn so much and feel so loved.
Little story: So a few weeks ago my little baby got double ear infections, He was just so sick, and was losing weight very fast. I was distraught! I went to my weekly bible study with him and I ended up being the only person in my group that showed up other than the leaders. I was just on the verge of tears telling them about how sick he was, and how tired I was because we hadn't been able to sleep for like a week at that point. They were so sweet! Both of them prayed for my little baby and for me with tears in their eyes. I was baffled! How could these 2 women love me and my baby so much that they were crying because we were in pain. I don't think I have ever felt so loved by people who hardly know me.
6)Nap time. It is just a wonderful!
7)A God who loves me through all and despite my issues! He pursues daily even though I don't deserve it.
8)My home. I am so thankful that I have a warm home!
9)The Rec Center. I know that sounds lame, but it has a great child care area and I get the opportunity to get a little exercise and take care of me! The endorphins don't stink!
10)As stated in my previous post, Frappuccinos!  I love Starbucks. Just the name Frappuccino makes me smile. And thus I have to go workout!
11)I was born when I was. I don't think I could have survived as a Frontiers Woman. The Pioneer Day's were not for me.

Well I feel better! I think everyday I should start my day with a list of what I am thankful for. Maybe I would be a less cranky Mama!

Let me know what you are thankful for!
P.S can you guess what movie I quoted?

Starbucks Love!

I have had a revelation today!

Starbucks Mocha Frappuccinos have always been an Achilles Heal of mine. The obsession only worsened during my last pregnancy. They are soooooooooo delicious and the caffeine boost didn't suck! However now that I am trying desperately to lose the baby weight I have found that the 380 calories that come along with the drink were not helping my hips shrink! So I thought hey I will just stop getting them, right save some money, maybe drop a pant size I wasn't seeing the bad side to this.

Well all you mama's can testify to this, I needed my coffee! And every time I drove past the Starbucks, so like every other block, my heart would cry out just a little! Why oh why did they have to be so delicious? And why oh why did they have to have a drive thru? That just made it all that more of a temptation since I didn't have to unload anyone from the car.

Now I have never been a big fan of "light" or "diet" drinks however I NEEDED a frappuccino today (trust me it was a need, I won't get into details but it is just one of "those" days!) So after I went to the gym we drove to the Starbucks drive thru and when I ordered my regular mocha frappuccino the ladies voice rang out from the speaker "regular or light?" Now after busting my hump at the gym I was feeling good and with a clear loud and proud voice I said "Light please" and in the back of my head I was thinking "I wonder if they still put whipped cream on that?" I was nervous I have to say when she handed me my drink and my lips went to the straw to try my fist sip of light frappuccio.

Oh My Goodness! It was just as fabulous as the regular! No it didn't come with the pile of whipped cream on top, but it was delicious just the same. Now me being a bit of a skeptic I thought well it tastes this good it must still be really high in calories. So I got home and looked online and much to my suprise it was only 110 calories! Once again my heart sored, I could have my frappuccion and eat it too! Yes 110 is still calories I don't need but hey it is 270 less calories than what I was getting! 110 calories is only like 15 minutes on the treadmill. I still can get my caffeine boost with out the widening of my hips. Oh thank God for light Frappuccio's!

My Claim to Fame

So I have this fabulous cousin. Everything about her is well "Fabulous". At least everything I know, I just met her like 3 years ago. She has a great name Tatiana Zaza, you hear that name and think "Star". She is an aspiring actress/singer. She has recently married someone as equally fabulous. His name is Joe, now I know you are thinking that doesn't sound fabulous! But just wait he is Bono! No not the real Bono but he plays Bono in a U2 cover band. Not just any cover band mind you, Americas Foremost #1 U2 cover band. They now spend their fabulous lives together touring with his band, yes they are that good of a cover band that they get booked at real places! She does the opening act, he does the main show.

Now you are probably thinking
"wow, you sound a little obsessed with their fabulous lives."

The truth is yes I am a little obsessed! I check both of their websites like once a week. I am not 100% sure why I care so much about their fabulous lives, but I have a hunch.

1) I am related to them so naturally I am interested in what they are doing and love them!
2)Sometimes I feel that I lead a fairly dull life, not that I don't love it! But looking at her life gives me a glimpse of a life with no children/diapers/carseats/potty training. I know that I have glorified their lives a little in my head, but they seem to have total freedom, so it is like I am watching a movie.
3)Who wouldn't love someone with the fabulous name Tatiana Zaza
4)She calls everyone "Darling"!
5)I feel like I have some one that I can say that they are semi-famous and I know them!

So this Blog is dedicated to Tatiana, I love you Tats, My Fabulous Darling Cousin!
